So here are a bunch of images from some shoots the past couple of months.
This was a fun shoot. I photographed this family 3 years ago, back when I first started this whole adventure of being a "photographer". Hopefully I've learned more since that first shoot, and have gotten a little better at this stuff, but who knows.
I love this guy! And there's a ton of him to love. I'm pretty sure he weighs more than my 2 and a half year old daughter.
This kid was an angel. He must have been having some really good dreams while we were taking his picture, because he smiled like crazy. His big sister was also such a cutie pie. Loved, loved, loved this tutu! Thanks guys!
I took this picture today while my older girls were away at school. I haven't had much one-on-one time with this daughter of mine, and it's hard to see how grown up she is starting to look. I still feel like she is a baby. I don't want her to grow up!
These cuties were so much fun to photograph. We tried and tried to get this little girl to fall asleep, but she wanted nothing to do with it. Her little brother was quite the sleepy head though.

The other day I was watching my friends little girl, and she just kept making the funniest faces. So I grabbed my camera and this is what we got. These were shot at my kitchen table which sits right in a bay window and is totally bathed in yummy natural light.
Ok, so I told a family I'd meet up with them at the Las Sendas sales office the other day. As I was pulling up, I found myself completely stunned. The place is gone! And in it's place is a bunch of new homes. It was a bit embarrassing to explain this to my client and fellow photog Marcie. But this family could not have been cooler about the whole embarrassing situation. They were even willing to jump the fence around the model home for this shot. Thanks guys! This is just a quick preview, I'll post more soon. These kids are gorgeous!
We braved the 110+ degree heat today for this shoot. Thanks for being such good sports you guys! By the end of this one, mom and I were both dripping sweat. But we got some great shots. Here is a quick preview.
This kid was a dream. He was awake the whole time, and he didn't complain a bit.

Try to get some light reflecting in your subject's eyes. It can make all the difference.

For this shot I told this guy he could do whatever kind of pose he wanted and this is what he came up with. I liked it better than any of my suggestions.
I can't even tell you how amazing this was. The mom has been one of my best friends since high school. We've basically grown up together & we were even roommates in college. These babies are just beautiful. I couldn't get enough of them. I love you guys!!! Congratulations!

This family is always so fun to photograph. This is the third year in a row that I've taken their family pictures and they are so easy going! Their pictures always turn out really cute too. This was taken right before a huge rainstorm. The sky was black and I was a little worried about the available light, but I'm happy with what we got. This was my favorite shot from the session and I used a fun "vintage" action that I think really works with this image. Thank you Wood family!!
These girls are amazing. I hope and pray that my 3 girls can be like them someday.
This was the smartest 18 month old I've ever met. He was talking up a storm. He even knew his colors!
This is my big brother's family. Aren't they so cute?! And I loved this location. We were on the side of Central Avenue in North Phoenix. You'd never know there were cars speeding by just inches away from us.
This was a really fun shoot we did out in a cornfield. These girls were really good sports to climb in there and they still smiled and acted like they were enjoying themselves. They reminded me of Cabbage Patch Dolls! By the way, the older girl is our most favorite babysitter in the whole world. My kids love her.
These little girls were insanely comfortable in front of the camera. They just knew how to work it! Their little brother wasn't too bad either.
Where are all the newborn baby boys?!!! Don't get me wrong, I love baby girls (I have 3 of my own), but that is all I have photographed for the last 3 weeks. I'm itchin' to use some blue blankets! This is sweet little Paisley, 3 days old. She was so curly and cute with chubby little cheeks.
